Seascape Dental is pleased to support the Federal Government’s new Child Dental Benefits schedule (CDBS). The CDBS will commence on 1st January 2014 and will provide dental services to around 3.4 million Australian children aged between 2-17 years of age.
CDBS Dentists will be able to provide basic dental services to eligible children such as dental check-ups, x-rays, fillings and extractions.
The benefit will be capped at $1,000 per child over two calendar years. The
CDBS Government Scheme will not include high end services such as Orthodontics, Crowns, Bridges, and Root Canal treatment.
CDBS will replace the Medicare Teen Dental Plan and will be means tested. Families eligible for Family Tax Benefit Part A (FTB-A) or certain other government payments will be able to take advantage of CDBS.
